Wat Tham Seua - Tigre Cave Monastery

Wat Tham Seua and Wat Tham Khao Noi sit right next to each other on a hilltop east of Kanchanaburi town. From below it looks like just one temple compound but there actually is a fence between the two. We spent half a morning in those two temples because there was so much to see. Wat Tham Seua has a huge sitting Buddha image, which is now covered with a special half dome structure. From the top one has a wonderful view of the River Mae Nam Khwae (some write River Kwai). Beautiful Buddha images are also inside the temple buildings. Inside the mountain, is, like the name Tham says, a cave with Buddha images.
