Ko Samet

Ko Samet is one of the weekend getaway from Bangkok. It's less than 3 hour buss ride from Bangkok's Easter bus terminal (Ekkamai Sky Train Station).

In early 1980s there were only about 40 houses on the island build by the fisherman. As the island started receiving first visitors some speculators from Bangkok and Rayong so chance to cash in on an up-and-coming holiday resort. No one was bothered that Ko Samet was a national marine park since 1981.
